The Founder
Mr. Anandaram Bhoabaria’s unparalleled skill earned him prestigious Awards, including the National Award for Dhurrie Weaving (2015), the Sant Kabir Award (2017) by The Ministry of Textiles and the Rajasthan Bunkar Ratna Award(2017-18) Today, his legacy lives on through Rugmoda, as we continue to work with over 700 artisans, empowering them to keep the heritage of dhurrie weaving alive.

The Art of Rug Making: A Tradition Rooted in Salawas
Just 22 kilometers from Jodhpur lies Salawas, a village celebrated as the Rug Capital of the World. This small village is home to the Prajapat community, custodians of Rajasthan’s renowned rug-making traditions.
Here, artisans work on Panja looms, weaving detailed patterns and Lively colors into their creations. Known as Salawas dhurries, these rugs are lightweight, durable, and rich in history. Our founder, Anandaram Bhobaria, hails from this tradition-rich community.
